EVENT - 2002 Chinese Music Festival
21st Century Cultural Arts Development and Ace 99 had their 1st Festival in March 2002 - the International Chinese Music Festival at the Genting Highlands, with the objective of bringing together the people who have the same interest to gather at a festival to have exchange with people from other countries.

We were very honored to have our guest of honor, Dato Paduka Abdul Kadir Bin Haji Sheikh Fadzir, Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism of Malaysia for the opening ceremony for the festival. During the opening ceremony of the festival, one of the groups was a 100 member-strong Chinese orchestra under the baton of renown Maestro Liu De Hai.

During the festival, we had competitions, master classes, cultural performances and symposium for all the overseas masters whom were invited to the festival.

The closing ceremony included performances and prize giving by Mr Goh Choon Kang (former MP for Singapore) for all the participating groups of competition. A farewell reception at the grand ballroom to exchange contacts and bid farewell to each other was a memorable moment for all.

The whole event was very encouraging, and we definitely look forward to the next festival in the near future.
